A The realization of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum leaders meeting (APEC Peru 2024) would allow to attract US$ 10,000 million investment in the next five years for our country, projected the head of the Ministry of Production (Produce), Sergio González.
“It is an important expectation that place us as the economic leader of the region,” he commented in an interview by Andina Canal Online.“The APEC leaders meeting represents a showcase to attract investments from the main economies of the world. The 21 APEC member economies represent 61% of the world GDP and 49% of the world trade” he said.
Gonzalez pointedout that the potential investment would arrive for key sectors such as agroindustry, mining, fishing, trade and gastronomy. He also highlighted that Peru managed to place the promotion of formalization for the micro and small enterprises on the APEC agenda.
He also said that sharing the experience of the other economies of APEC in succeeding to formalize small companies will help to achieve this goal. And he commented that his ministry helps micro and small enterprises to formalize at a lower cost and few days. “We have already formalized more than 60,000 companies,” he explained
